Guidance and training on Screening and Disability Action Plans
Section 75 Equality Assessments: Screening
Training
The Equality Commission is providing training for Public Authorities which will explain how screening should be conducted.
Sessions will take place on 27 September (Belfast), 5 October (Craigavon) and 28 November (Belfast) and will cover the following topics:
- Why screen?
- When, how and by whom should screening be undertaken?
- Screening and equality impact assessment
- Challenging the myths around screening
- Good practice screening

Disability Action Plans (DAPs) - guidance & training
The Commission has produced a new user friendly summary of existing guidance on Disability Action Plans (pdf) including good practice.
Further information about DAPs is available online.
The summary guidance ties in with new training sessions for Public Authorities on Section 49 A and 49B of the Disability Discrimination Act and Disability Action Plans which are taking place at Malone House, Belfast, on 26 September, 12 October, 7 December. More>
