Sex discrimination
Northern Ireland´s sex discrimination law was thirty years old in 2006. The Equality Commission has published an updated overview, ´Women and Men in Northern Ireland´, to mark the thirtieth anniversary. Sex equality 30 years on was also the theme of the Commission´s annual conference.
Over the years, the Commission has contributed to gender policy debates on a range of issues. For further information please see our gender-related consultation responses. For research and other material, please see the Publications section of this site. The links section also signposts to other organisations which may be of interest.
