Code of Practice on Equal Pay    

The Equality Commission concluded a public consultation on a draft Code of Practice on Equal Pay on 7 March 2008.  The aim of the draft Code is to provide guidance to employers, advisers and employees on the scope of the law relating to equal pay, and on good practice in tackling the gender pay gap.

 

We wish to thank everyone who participated in focus groups and those who submitted comments.

 

The comments received are being addressed, and the final version of the Code will appear on our website in due course.  Meanwhile, the guidance in the draft Code is available by clicking on Equal Pay – draft Code of Practice.

 

Unified Guide to Promoting Equal Opportunities in Employment

The Commission recently concluded a public consultation on the draft Unified Guide to Promoting Equal Opportunities in Employment.

We wish to thank every person and organization which participated and those who submitted comments.

We have prepared a report which summarises the comments received and also indicates how the Commission proposes to address those comments in the final version of the Unified Guide.
