Further the aims of the Race Equality Strategy

We consider that our recommendations are also in line with the aims and objectives of the Executive’s Racial Equality Strategy 2005-2010, currently being revised, which sets out a strategic framework for tackling racial inequalities in Northern Ireland as well as eradicating racism and hate crime.

In particular, one of the key aims of the Strategy is to eliminate racism, racial inequality and unlawful racial discrimination and promote equality of opportunity in all aspects of life.

In addition, it aims to combat racism and provide effective protection and redress against racism and racist crime, as well as ensuring equality of opportunity for minority ethnic people in accessing and benefiting from all public services.
