Equality Commission welcomes appointment of new Commissioners
The Equality Commission today welcomed the appointment of eleven new Commissioners, including a new Deputy Chief Commissioner.
Dr Michael Wardlow, Chief Commissioner of the Equality Commission, said: "I look forward to working with the new Commissioners to deliver all aspects of the Commission’s wide remit in promoting equality of opportunity and combating all forms of unlawful discrimination. I have no doubt that each will bring their own unique experience and expertise to our work and this will be of great value to the Commission over the next three years.
“I would also pay tribute to all those who will reach the end of their term of office in the coming months. The Commission has benefited greatly from their knowledge and contributions and I would thank them all for the professionalism and commitment they have shown over their time as Commissioners.
