Hate crime attack on the Belfast multi-cultural building

Hate crime attack on the Belfast multi-cultural building
15/01/2021
Equality Commission statement

“We condemn the hate crime attack on the Belfast Multi-Cultural Association building - an important space for members of our black and minority ethnic communities to meet that was currently being used as a food bank, with volunteers distributing packages to vulnerable people during these difficult times.

Racism and hate crime should have no place in our society. To flourish and succeed, Northern Ireland must be a welcoming society, one that celebrates difference and diversity.”

Geraldine McGahey, Chief Commissioner
