Blog: SEN and The Children’s Services Co-operation Act
13/09/2024
Blog by Chris Jenkins, Senior Policy Officer, Equality Commission NI

Writing in his latest blog, Chris Jenkins, Senior Policy Officer at the Equality Commission NI, looks at Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the Children's Services Co-Operation Act. He said: "We need leadership and collaboration to advance equality, in particular for children and young people with SEN.

Collaboration between public bodies is essential in delivering effective services for children with complex needs. The Children’s Services Co-operation Act is a key piece of legislation to enable change, but to date has not been used to its full potential."
